=> Perhaps this latest chapter from the Command and Conquer universe might be considered the closest to reality. That's stretching things I know but with a story line comprising of the USA, China and a world wide terrorist organization there are elements that in this modern era sound familiar.

The story here is of a world that is under threat from the GLA: Global Liberation Army. They appear to have strongholds in several countries with even an attempt to creep over into the western border of China looking to establish their own nation there.

Obviously China is not in the mood to tolerate this and is set to resist forcibly incursions from the GLA and this has led to attacks on the Chinese military in return.

The situation has gotten further out of hand due to the GLA also attacking US targets who up to that point had chosen not to get involved.

So there it is: The Americans with all of their highly technical hardware including a highly destructive air force, the Chinese with their massive population able to summon more troops and vehicles than anyone else. Finally the GLA with their sinister guile and ability to strike from anywhere and then apparently disappear.

Failure to command and conquer for any of these sides will lead to destruction.
